Walter L. Wilson

Mr. Walter L. Wilson of Decatur GA passed Saturday, Sept. 13^th, 2008 while working in his garden at home. Dad was born in Allendale Co., SC Dec, 1922. He served in the US Army during WW II in Europe and later went on to graduate GA Tech in 1952. He spent the majority of his working life as a Mechanical Engineer for Government Services Administration in Atlanta, GA. He was a wonderful dad and exceptional grandfather who loved to take his family to Lake Seminole, GA for weeklong fishing trips. He will be missed more than words can express. He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Wilson; daughter, Patricia and Chris Ellis of Nicholson, GA; son, Walter L. Wilson, Jr. of Cumming, GA; granddaughter, Kelley and Vann Humphrey of Kennesaw, GA; and granddaughters, Kristin Ellis, Katelyn Ellis, Kari Ellis, and Kasey Ellis; brother, Hughey Wilson of North Augusta, SC; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by great granddaughter Charlotte Anne Humphrey. We love you and miss you Pop.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 18^th at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Larry T. Burgess officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Sept. 20^th at Colquitt City Cemetery, Colquitt, GA. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
