Wanda Carter Finleyson

Wanda Carter Finleyson (1921-2018) age 97, of Stone Mountain, beloved wife, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018. Born April 19, 1921 in Lumber City, Georgia, daughter of the late James Benjamin and Cordie Carter.
In addition to her parents, her husband of 61 years, Julius Feagin (Fin) Finleyson, and sister, Mabel Cornell, preceded Wanda in death.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Linda F. Warren (Charles) Awendaw, SC, son, F. Michael Finleyson (Judi) Boiling Springs, SC, daughter, Patti F. White (Bill) Mableton, GA. Grandsons are Phil Warren, Steve Warren (Heather), David Finleyson (Andrea), Brian Finleyson (Sharri) and Blake White (Sommer). Wanda has three great-grandaughter’s, two great-grandson’s, one great-great grandson and many more loving family and friends.
The family will receive friends at 12:00 and the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons with interment to follow at Melwood Cemetery.
