Wayne Gray

November 27, 1946 — July 7, 2004

Mr. Harold Wayne Gray of Tucker died at home after a long illness on Wednesday, July 7, 2004. He graduated from Tucker High School, attended Georgia Tech and was a graduate of DeKalb Technical Institute. He was a US Army veteran serving with the Military Police in the Panama Canal Zone. He attended Cross Roads Community Church. Mr. Gray was a member of the Southeastern antique Bottle Club and was very active in coaching and playing softball. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Elizabeth Thompson and her husband Tony of Loganville; son, Andy Gray of Tucker; parents, Harold and Billie Gray of Monticello, GA; grandson, Jordan Thompson; sisters, Gayle Gray, Rhonda Gallups and her husband Billy; brother, Len Gray and his wife Janie; sister-in-law, Vickie Pace; and nephews, Matt and Dan. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 3 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Hugh Pope officiating. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of Disabled Adults & Children, 4600 Lewis Rd., Stone Mountain, GA 30083, or Portsbridge Hospice, 1009 Milstead Ave., Ste. 210, Conyers, GA 30013. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
