Wayne Morris Kemp

Wayne Morris Kemp passed away peacefully at home on December 4, 2022 at the age of 83. He was born in Wadley, GA and moved to Savannah, GA when he was 12 years old. Wayne graduated from Savannah High School. In 1966, he married Evelyn Tissura. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Kemp of 58 years. He is also survived by sister-in-law Rita Mookas, sister-in-law Mary Bougas, sister-in-Law Georgia Karatassos, sister-in-law law Elaine Tissura, brother-in-law Pano Karatassos, brother-in-law Manual Tissura; as well as, nieces, nephews, god children, and countless friends to whom he was known as “Uncle Wayne.” In lieu of Flowers, you may contribute to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral located at 2500 Clairmont Rd. NE Atlanta, GA 30329.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation.  Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park - Sandy Springs, GA.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
