William Barry Putnam
September 11, 1933 — February 16, 2011
William B. Putnam, 77, of Stone Mountain died Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Mr. Putnam served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Gracepointe Nazarene Church. He taught elementary school for 34 years with the DeKalb County School System. He is survived by his wife Glenda Putnam, daughter Celeste Byrd and granddaughters Hannah and Rachel Byrd. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00pm till 4:00 and from 6:00pm till 8:00pm. The funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:00am at the Chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home, with internment to follow in the Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. A.S. Turner and Sons, Decatur.
