William Clifford Rowland

Mr. William (Cliff) Rowland, age 73, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2005. As a young man, he served as an air traffic controller in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired printer and operated Rowland Printing Company for over 20 years. He was a caring and hardworking man who was devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Beulah Waters. Mr. Rowland is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nan Rowland; four daughters, Debbie and Greg Connors, Jeannie Rowland and Wind O'Neal, Becky Rowland, and Melinda and Patrick McCune; two sisters, Ella Mae Thigpen and Maggie Finney; three brothers, Robert, Marvin, and Earl Rowland; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Dr. Jimmy Wilson will officiate. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday and 1-2p.m. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
