William Dennis Paschal, Iii

William Dennis Paschal III, age 58, of Lilburn, GA passed away suddenly at home on July 25, 2005. Dennis was a native Atlantan, born at Emory University Hospital on June 14, 1947. He attended Ponce de Leon and Knollwood Elementary schools and graduated from Avondale High School in 1965. Dennis was an active member of the Avondale Class of '65 Reunion Committee, and loved being part of A-Mail. As "Cinco Dennis", he edited the Sunday night edition of A-Mail, sprinkling his copy liberally with puns and literary quotes. He was a member of Cannon United Methodist Church in Snellville, where he sang bass in the choir. Dennis worked as an IBM Customer Engineer for over 27 years, and was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was a DS2 (Data Systems Technician) in the United States Navy, serving four tours of duty on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany during the war in Vietnam. After leaving the Navy, Dennis went back to college and graduated from Georgia State University in 1974 with a degree in Special Education. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Teresa Sanders Paschal of Lilburn; daughters, Kristina Paschal Whitley and Jim of Woodstock, and Keren Paschal Barr and Michael of Lilburn; World's most wonderful grandson, Ian Whitley of Woodstock; sister, Margaret (Peggy) Paschal of Decatur; and many beloved cousins. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28th, Dr. Glenn L. Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
