William Edward Hendricks

William Edward Hendricks, loving father and grandfather, 83, of Decatur, passed away on November 22, 2014. He was born on January 3, 1931 to Leroy and Kathryn (Collins) Hendricks in Savannah, GA. His happiest childhood memories were of his horses, dogs and his time in the ROTC. He graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelors degree and worked as a Vice President of Trust Department for Suntrust Bank until his retirement. He was an active member of University Heights United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by wife, Macie Hendricks and parents Leroy and Kathryn Hendricks. He is survived by his son, W. Ed Hendricks, Jr. daughter, Kathy Hendricks; two grandsons, Matthew D. Drummond, Christopher S. Drummond; . Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, 11:00 am at the University Heights United Methodist Church, Decatur, GA, with Rev. William Roane, Rev. Stacey Rushing, officiating a private family interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to University Heights United Methodist Church1267 Balsam Dr. Decatur, GA 30033. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Decatur, GA.
