William Henry Lambert

William Henry (Bill) Lambert, Sr., 77, entered into his eternal rest and met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 7, 2018, after suffering from Alzheimer’s for 9 years. Bill was born to Sam and Martha Lambert on August 9, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia. Bill married his high school sweetheart, Roslyn Broom Lambert, in August of 1962, and were faithfully and happily married for 56 years. After graduating from Georgia State college, Bill began a 30+ year career with Coca Cola USA, that became his life long employment until retirement. He, Roslyn and their children lived in Georgia and Florida throughout Bill’s employment with Coca Cola.

Bill and Roslyn spent their early retirement years in Blue Ridge, Georgia. They enjoyed spending their time worshiping at Cherry Log Baptist Church and enjoying mountain life. As Bill’s Alzheimer’s progressed, they moved back to Florida to be with their children and grandchildren. Bill passed away while residing at Serenades, Alzheimer’s Care Facility in Winter Garden, FL.

Bill is survived by his faithful wife, Roslyn Lambert; daughters, Lynne Lambert, and Jeanne Lambert Vanetta, son-in-law Breton Vanetta; son Hank Lambert, daughter-in-law Jeannell Lambert, and two grandchildren, Nathanael Lambert Vanetta and Grace Roslyn Vanetta. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

While his family misses him terribly, we take comfort in knowing he is absent from his body and present with the Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur. Dr. Paul Mims officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at A.S. Turner & Sons. Graveside Interment for the family immediately following at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
