William Lee Long

William L. Long, 76 years old, passed peaceably away February 23, 2023. He was the son of Edith and William Long.

"Billy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Long; children, Ashley and William; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; Aunt Rebecca Evatt; brother Johnny Long (Bonnie); sisters Linda Erwin and Tammy Lumpkin; step-sisters Debbie LaBee and Suzanne Letner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Billy was educated at APS Walter F. George High and worked with his brother for many years doing house construction. Later, he worked over 25 years with Long's Custom Trim, Inc. with Johnny and his nephew Jon Long.

Billy enjoyed his houseboat on Lake Lanier and will be missed by his many marina friends who called him "Spoons" for his talent of making music with 2 very specific tablespoons bent "just right" for the best sound.

Cremation services were provided lovingly by A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur.
