William Lewis Beavers

William Lewis Beavers, 95, of Lilburn, passed away on February 13, 2014 after a brief illness. He was very active until the time of his death He was born on July 30, 1918 in Canton, GA. He graduated Southern Business College and retired from Beavers Accounting and Tax Service where he was the owner. He was a long time member of Peachtree Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a sweet man who never met a stranger. He loved his family, the Atlanta Braves, new cars and had a knack for remodeling his homes. He was preceded in death by his parents A. S. and Hattie (Densmore) Beavers and wife of 41 years Inez Beavers. William is survived by his loving spouse of 28 years Margaret Simmons Beavers, daughters; Gail (Tom) Haygood, Hendersonville, TN and Jane (Ron) Mitchell of Loganville, GA, grandchildren Erin (Lance) Strawn, Andrea (Nick) Pagnotta, Ryan (Lindsey) Mitchell and Lisa Haygood ; great-grandchildren, Piper and Kipton Fisher. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014, 2:00 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons, Decatur, GA, with Rev. Daniel Vestal, officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
