William Michael Whitten

William Michael (Mike) Whitten, age 60, a native of Atlanta, died peacefully after a brief illness, on Wednesday, June 6, 2007.  He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Whitten.  Survived by mother, Elizabeth Whitten, Decatur; brother, Tom Whitten, Stone Mountain.; and sisters, Cindi Bancroft, Denver, CO, Nancy Leathers, Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.  A private celebration of life with inurnment of cremated remains will be held at Decatur Cemetery.  Contributions to his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2970 Clairmont Road, NE Ste 840, Atlanta, Ga.  Cremation handled by A.S. Turner and Sons.
