William Mickey Loyd

William Mickey Loyd, age 67, passed away from complications due to pulmonary fibrosis on Friday, April 7, 2017. He was born on January 9, 1950 in Villa Rica, GA to the late Henry Grady Jr & Margie Byram Loyd.

His career in the construction & project management spanned over 40 years. He made friends wherever he went & would talk your ear off over just about anything. His biggest sources of pride were his children & grandson. He was always the first to comment on pictures his family shared on Facebook.

Mickey is remembered with love by his children, Jessica Verhaeghe and husband Brad, Halston Loyd and wife Amy, and Ashton Loyd; grandson Archer Verhaeghe; sister Elaine Bowling; former wife Kathy Jankovsky; maternal aunt Louise Perren and a number of cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
