William Ray Lowe

William Ray Lowe, born 11/9/31, died May 4, 2008.  An Atlanta native, Mr. Lowe graduated from E. Rivers Elementary, North Fulton High School, and Georgia State University.  He retired from Landauer & Associates as a real estate appraiser/consultant.  He proudly served his country as a U. S. Marine during the Korean War.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carol Burroughs Lowe; three children, Cynthia Lowe Balte (Mark), Betsy Lowe Oglesby (Todd), and Bill Lowe; 5 grandchildren, Grace, Sara and Julia Balte, McRae and Ross Oglesby.  Other family members include a twin brother, Roy Lowe (Patty) of Clarkesville, GA; brother, Wade Lowe (Jean) of Avondale Estates, GA; and sisters, Sara Rogers and Elinor Beavers of Orlando, FL.  He had many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, at 11:00 am at Rehoboth Presbyterian Church.  Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rehoboth Presbyterian Church.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, May 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur.
