William Sidney Pruett

William Sidney Pruett of Atlanta, GA, beloved husband, father and brother, passed away May 12, 2014 at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Maret Pruett, his parents Ernest and Loma Pruett; and sister Nedra Pruett Ethridge. A native of Atlanta, he attended Grayson High School. He served in the army as a sergeant during World War II, and was stationed in the Phillipines. Sid retired from American Standard Plumbing and Heating, in 1989, after 42 years of employment. Sid was a member of First Baptist Church Atlanta and a member of Faith class. He volunteered regularly for In Touch Ministries. He is survived by his daughter Leanne Pruett of Raleigh, NC; sister Ernestine Pruett of Atlanta, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dean and Carol Maret of Cumming, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16th, 2:00 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, following the service. The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, May 16th, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
