William T. Bigby

August 18, 1936 — June 29, 2005

Mr. William T. Bigby of Decatur, formerly of Milton, FL died Wednesday, June 29, 2005.  He served in the Philippines as a consulate for the International Monetary Fund.  He also served in south Alabama as a revenue officer, where he destroyed illegal whiskey making equipment. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service as a Division Chief Specialist in collections. Mr. Bigby was of Methodist faith. He was predeceased by his son, William Tod Bigby.  He is survived by his children, Deitra Erickson of Decatur, Lee Thomas Bigby of Lansing, MI, Ashleigh L. Bigby of Milton, FL; grandchildren, Ellen Lindley Erickson, Samuel David Erickson; and several nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, GA with Rev. Tom Hagood officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
