Wilma Hinnant

Wilma Byrd Hinnant, 85 of Decatur, passed away February 2, 2013. A native of Banberg, SC, Mrs. Hinnant was a longtime resident of Decatur. She retired after more than 20 years from Rich's Department Store at North DeKalb Mall. She was preceded in death by husbands, Alvin Byrd and Harold Hinnant and son, Stanley Alvin Byrd. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Carey Bell; daughter-in-law, Laura Brien Byrd; grandchildren, Mitchell Bell, Kyle Byrd and Kathryn Byrd; and nieces, Garnet Barnes and Dawn Strickland. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home, Decatur.
