Zadie Nash Johnson passed on to her heavenly Father's home on June 17, 2013. Born in Norcross, GA on January 21, 1924, she was 89 years old. Zadie was raised in Tucker, GA, which she called home all of her life. She is preceded by her husband W. Edgar (Pete) Johnson. Zadie was born to Claude and Ruth Jeffares Nash, both of Tucker, GA. She graduated Tucker High School in 1943 and attended various business classes. Her most rewarding job was that with Drs. Cross and McCain in the Medical Arts Building. She returned to the medical field after raising her three children. For 17 years, Zadie was a Unit Secretary for 3400 Surgery at DeKalb Medical Center. Zadie will be long remembered as a great southern lady, proud of Tucker, GA and her family. She was active in the Tucker Woman's Club and the First Baptist Church of Tucker, GA. Her cooking talents could not be beat; she taught many of the family those great southern skills. Zadie and Edgar raised three children: Gary W. Johnson and his wife Mary C. Johnson of Duluth, GA; Beth Johnson Froehlich and her husband Capt. C. Terry Froehlich (USN retired) of Fredericksburg, VA; and C. Harris Johnson and his wife Michele of Frederick, MD. The five grandchildren: Lt. Steve Froehlich, USN, Seattle, WA; Laura Froehlich, Washington, DC; Miles Johnson, Audrey Johnson, and Amy Johnson, Frederick, MD. Zadie is also survived by her sisters Helen Whiting, Macon, GA and Nell Rominger, Birmingham, AL, and many nieces and nephews.
